What: Free online workshop about residence permits and rights in Hungary

Presenter: Borbála Benedek has been working at the Menedék Association as a social worker and legal advisor since 2019. During this time, she has individually supported adults and families, worked with children, and also led a women's group. Menedék – Hungarian Association for Migrants has been helping the social integration of immigrants arriving in and departing from Hungary, through a set of social, educational, and cultural programs built on more than 25 years of experience.
Why join?
This workshop will help participants gain a clearer understanding of key issues affecting third-country nationals in Hungary. It will cover international protection statuses (such as refugee status and temporary protection), the conditions and rights linked to different types of residence permits (both temporary and permanent), and which permits allow holders to work and study in Hungary. In the second part of the workshop, participants will also have the opportunity to ask the expert their own questions directly.

Please sign up by filling out the short registration form here (google form), where you can submit any questions to our expert. The deadline for registration is the 24th of February, noon. We’ll send you the Teams link a day before the event.
Data processing and confidentiality:
We collect participants’ names, email addresses, gender, and country of residence for workshop administration. Personal data will be shared only with the workshop organizing team, the WISE consortium, and CERV. Workshop photos may be used for promotional materials and reporting unless you indicate you do not wish to be featured. Any participant information included in WISE public deliverables will be anonymized. We will not store any personal data from registrants who will not attend the workshop. The workshops will be recorded for internal review purposes only and not shared with third parties. By registering, you confirm you have read this information and consent to these terms.
